Cara menanyakan waktu yang paling umum adalah dengan kalimat:
– What time is it? (Jam berapa sekarang?)
– Excuse me, could you tell me the time, please? (Permisi, bisakah kamu memberi tahu saya jam, tolong?)
– Excuse me, could you tell me what time it is, please? (Permisi bisakah kamu memberitahu saya jam berapa sekarang, tolong?)
Isabella sedang liburang di suatu daerah, dia lupa membawa jam dan batre hpnya pun habis, dia ingin mengetahui jam berapa, sehingga di bisa bersiap untuk dijemput.
Isabella : Excuse me… (Permisi…)
Stranger: Yup…
Isabella : My smartphone battery runs out, can you tell me what time it is? (Batere hpku habis, bisakah kamu memberitahu saya jam berapa sekarang?)
